Replacer is a coding technique, generally applied to SuperNull and HyperNull exploits, used to defeat all the opponents by replacing them with a dummy.
When a character that uses this coding technique is selected first, it replaces the whole select roster with characters that do nothing, allowing said character to have free reign over the engine until restarted. Despite its great offensive capability, it is countered by characters who have already protected their select load path region before, while higher exploits can effortlessly nullify it.

First character who used this coding technique was Dsrugal, a SuperNull character created by Ydccdy in 2014, which was paired with StateDef Pointer Invalidation to disable enemies already loaded in memory.
Today there are characters that can easily circumvent this sub-tier by either actively protecting their load path region or blocking the Select array data pointer.
